Dear Parents,
As we reach the end of another school year, the Education Committee has begun to make plans for our next academic year. School registration for the 2011-2012 academic year will be conducted in May to allow sufficient time to plan our faculty, classroom assignments and supplies. We ask that you return the Registration Form, along with a deposit of $50.00 per child, on or before Saturday, April 30th. Tuition will be charged at the lower “early registration” rate for all registrations received by April 30th. Please note that only families whose payments are up to date are eligible for the “early registration” rate. If you would like to review your payment status, please contact the Temple Treasurer, Bill Zeboris.
Tuition rates may increase slightly from the 2010-2011 rates of: Baysheet/KS $182*, Kadima $286*, Aleph through Dalet $545, Hay $1089, Vav/Zion $303, High School $165. (* denotes member rates, first year/non-member rate may be offered). Holiday Workshop is expected to remain free of charge.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers for their time and effort during the school year. For the safety of our children and to help run the school smoothly, we need a volunteer in the temple office while school is in session. Short of increasing fees to hire an office administrator, the temple has always managed to have parents volunteer their time a few times each school year in the office, preparing the school seder or leading in song.
In the upcoming 2011-2012 school year, we will again enlist the help of each family in working in our school office once or twice when classes are in session. Please look for an Office Volunteer Schedule in September, along with a list of light office duties. Think of this as a mitzvah and let your child see your involvement in their religious education. It is a great opportunity to get to know the other parents, your child's classmates, the teachers and our wonderful Rabbi.
The Registration Form also solicits any special skills or contributions that you can offer to the school. We particularly need volunteers to serve as class parents and as an occasional substitute teacher. Please let us know if you can help.
If this is your first year in the school, a copy of the RTPV School Handbook will be provided for you. Please let us know if you have not received one. Please read the important information in the Handbook and return the Tear Sheet along with your Registration Form and deposit.
Best regards,
Man-ching Tom

Meet the Teacher
A brief meeting with your child’s teacher on the following dates and times has been scheduled. The meeting should last no more than 30 minutes (if we are able to start on time). We hope that all parents will attend this meeting. Please plan to attend at the assigned time to avoid any delay of class time. It would be advisable to arrive early on your “Meet the teacher” day.
We will assemble as a group in the foyer. Once we are all together we will enter class as a group - this way no one has to miss anything and the teachers don’t have to repeat anything and the kids get the full benefit of our teachers’ time with them. The Rabbi and members of our Education Committee and will also be on hand to talk with the parents and to answer any questions that you have.

Special Events
Not sure what our school Tzedakah project is or who Mike "Grandpa Mikee" Greene is? Please ask your kids and also ask us at the "Meet the Teacher" event.
A great modern nation was built with the help of Tzedakah boxes. Learn how we are using ours: a few coins here or there are helping to fund Birthright Israel so that every Jewish youth can enjoy a free 10 day trip to Israel (ages 18 to 26). Several of our graduates have already enjoyed a free trip.
