Social Action
Projects and Programs

The Social Action Committee would like to thank those families that generously donated turkeys to the Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry for the Thanksgiving holiday distribution. The PVCFP also received some monetary donations from temple families that enabled them to purchase additional turkeys and other food items for the holiday season.

We would also like to acknowledge the volunteers that support the pantry’s efforts to feed our neighbors in need.  We have a number of temple families that show up every Saturday to set up and distribute groceries to the pantry’s clientele. Without these volunteers the pantry would be unable to keep its doors open and serve the community.

The PVCFP is currently assisting over 100 families a week and due to the current economic situation the PVCFP looks to those who can assist in doing the mitzvah of feeding the hungry.
