Allen Darnov, Rabbi

Membership and Outreach

As the New Year draws upon us,  we are reminded of our duty as Reform Jews to build a vibrant Inclusive Congregational Community.

As Jews, we constantly seek to perform the mitzvot of Ahavat Ger..Loving The Stranger and Keruv…drawing all near, who are far.

I, personally, would like to see this as our, The RTPV, “New Year’s Resolution” if you will.  Our mission; But, not just to draw in those far away who are not yet congregants, but to draw in those who are “far away” within our own congregation.

It seems at times, we need to focus again on what our Temple has always prided itself on.

Being a warm caring, diverse, Inclusive community.

Along with being together for Shabbat, on a weekly basis, there are events, and more events planned for the coming year. I urge you to get involved if you have not, and get more involved if you already are…..If you have suggestions, complaints, ideas, please, let us know, contact a board member, call the Rabbi, but always remember everyone’s voice at RTPV matters.

The membership committee will be hosting a Temple member/prospective member picnic in the park early September, and as always will be delivering complimentary High Holy Day tickets to first time guests, feel free to welcome an individual/family who has never attended our services to attend for free.

As always, I an ALWAYS looking for people interested in joining Membership/Outreach even if for one event to help!

Shana Tova!
